Our New Class Pet

Here is our new class pet. His name is Tommy. We adopted him from the Haleakala National Park. He is a nene goose. The nene goose is our state bird and is the rarest goose in the world. It lives on Maui, Kauai, and Honolulu. They eat leaves, seeds, fruits, flowers, and grass. Today in math class, we learned about their population over the past 100 years. Next week we all have a research project due soon about them.
